October 2007: Susie and her partner Paul have had a baby girl called Thea, according to Carol Vorderman who announced it on Countdown. Thea is Susie’s second child. Her first, Lucy, was seven in February this year. The name Thea comes from the Greek word for ‘goddess’.
Alison Herd has taken over Susie’s role in dictionary corner on Countdown while Susie is on maternity leave.

 Susie Dent is expecting her second child in the Autumn of 2007. Her appearances on Countdown will stop sometime in October whilst she is on maternity. Congratulations Susie, and we hope you come back soon!

Susie Dent’s marital status  is a topic about which little seems to be known - some say she is married to a millionaire entrepreneur. The picture to the right shows a ring on her wedding finger, more recent footage seems to have shown her without the ring. What’s the deal, Susie? If you’re available for dates, then drop me a line - I’m a millionaire entrepreneur too! (Well, one of those is true at least.)
